Biography
Born in Kendal, nestled in the heart of the Lake District, I was raised amidst the tranquil beauty of rural England, where the rolling farmland and a small river at the foot of our garden provided a playground for early adventures. Growing up in such a natural setting instilled in me a deep appreciation for the outdoors and a sense of community.
From a young age, I excelled in athletics, earning victories across various distances, from cross country to 100 – 1500-metre races. My formative years were spent not only immersed in sports, but also contributing to local life—helping with haymaking, gathering eggs on nearby farms, and assisting my mother in developing our garden.
Travel has played a significant role in shaping my worldview. I have explored South America, North America, Thailand, and lived abroad in Germany, South Africa, and Australia. These experiences broadened my perspective and continue to influence my work and creative expression.
I’ve played a key role in prospecting emeralds and developing a mine in Zambia. This also included traveling overseas to set up sales channels.
My journey as an artist truly flourished when I embraced the notion that art is not confined by competition or standards, but is a pure expression of individuality. Each creation stands on its own, limited only by the imagination. My Theta collection, inspired by the diverse people I have met along my journey, comprises over 200 sketches that are waiting to be brought to life.
Much of my artistic inspiration stems from my time in the jewellery industry, where I honed my skills in digital design and the precision of 3D printing. I aim to keep that technical knowledge alive by first crafting designs on the computer and then transforming them into physical paintings.
At the core of my pursuits is a passion for uplifting others. Whether through my art or personal interactions. I find fulfilment in helping people rise above challenges. Furthermore, I am also a staunch advocate for human rights; a cause I remain deeply committed to.
